A proper headshot on day one, for every new starter
Give every new starter a proper headshot on day one, from their phone, matching everyone hired before them. Automatable through the API.
From $39 per person, volume discounts from 5 people.

- 40 headshots per person
- About an hour from selfies to download
- Nobody on the team needs an account
Onboarding is a sequence of small things that either land on day one or never land at all. A headshot is one of them: it feeds the HR system, the chat avatar, the intranet profile, the signature block and the team page. Most companies defer it to the next group photo session, which means a new starter spends months as a grey silhouette next to colleagues with real portraits. Starkie Teams makes it a five-minute task the person can finish from their phone before their first stand-up.

The result
Everyone, in the same light.
Choose a backdrop and an outfit once. Every person who joins is generated inside that style, so the team page finally looks like one team rather than a collage of whoever had a photo.

Sample headshots generated by Starkie from phone selfies.
Nobody waits for the next photo day
The reason headshots drift out of date is that they are batched. A session happens, then hiring continues, and within two quarters a third of the company is missing from the system.
Credits live on the account and are drawn down individually, so a new starter can be invited the moment their address exists, without waiting for anyone else to be ready. They consent, send their selfies, and an hour or so on they hold 40 pictures matching everyone hired before them, with no session ever scheduled.

See it work
From selfies to a finished set, in four moves.
Nothing here needs a studio, a camera or a calendar. The whole thing runs from a phone and a browser.

Trigger it from the HR system
HR teams should not have to remember a manual step. Each organisation can mint scoped API keys and create members in bulk through a JSON API, so a new employee record can trigger the invite automatically.
The six signed webhook events cover invitation, upload, photos ready, approval, deletion and re-rendered branded pictures, which is enough to push the finished picture back into the directory or the chat tool without a human step. Reminders can also be sent through the API for anyone who has gone quiet during their first week.

Consent belongs to the person, not the process
A photograph collected during onboarding is exactly the kind of personal data an employee should be asked about rather than assumed to have agreed to. A new starter reads and accepts the consent wording on their own phone before a single file moves, and the version they accepted is filed with it.
Their selfies are cleared at the end of the retention period, photos open only through links that expire, and someone who leaves the company can remove their own record from the invite they still hold, with the deletion confirmed in writing.
Your selfies are used to generate your headshots and deleted at the end of the retention period.
As it happens
Every person, at their own pace.
People upload when it suits them. The organiser watches the set fill up and approves sets as they come in; nobody waits for a studio slot.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take a new starter?
A few minutes of their attention: open the invite on their phone, accept the consent text, upload a set of selfies. Their 40 headshots normally arrive within about an hour, so it fits inside a first-morning checklist.
Will a new hire match the people already on the team page?
Yes, because the style lives on the organisation rather than on a session. Someone invited today is generated from the same backdrops and outfits as colleagues photographed a year ago.
Can we hold new photos for review?
Turn approval on and nothing is announced to the new starter until an admin has released it. A rejection explains what to change and reopens the upload for free, so a bad first attempt costs nothing to redo.
Do we have to buy credits for a whole year up front?
No, but buying ahead is cheaper, because the reduction follows lifetime volume rather than a single order. A year of hiring bought in one block usually lands a rung or two further down the ladder than the same hires bought one by one, off a $39 list.
Give the whole team the same headshot, without the shoot day.
Free to set up: you only pay when you buy credits. There is no subscription, and you don't need a card to start.
