  • About an hour from selfies to download
  • Nobody on the team needs an account

The calculator further down this page takes one number, how many people you want to photograph, and returns two: the price per person once the volume discount is applied, and what the whole set comes to. There is no subscription and no session fee, so those two figures are the entire commercial picture. Everything below explains what sits behind them: what a credit buys, where the discount thresholds fall, why they are based on what an account has bought in total, and which things do not carry an extra charge.

What one credit buys

A credit covers one colleague from beginning to end. They receive their own private invitation, accept the consent text, upload selfies from a phone, and get forty finished images back in the style the organisation chose, usually within about an hour.

They mark a favourite, which is the frame their branded profile picture is built from where the organisation has defined a brand template. There is no charge for the invitation, the reminders, the review step, the group archive, the branded versions, an API key or a webhook endpoint. The unit of pricing is a person, not a photograph.

The result

Everyone, in the same light.

Choose a backdrop and an outfit once. Every person who joins is generated inside that style, so the team page finally looks like one team rather than a collage of whoever had a photo.

The bands, and why they follow the account

The list price is $39 per person. A fifth comes off once the account has bought five credits, and the reduction becomes 30% at twenty-five, 40% at one hundred and 50% at two hundred and fifty.

The threshold that matters is the total the account has ever bought, not the size of a single purchase, so an organisation that adds ten people every quarter walks down the bands over time instead of resetting to the top each spring. The calculator applies exactly this arithmetic, in whole cents, and shows which band a given headcount lands in.

The difference

A shoot day, or an afternoon.

Booking a photographer

  • Find a date the whole team can make
  • Book a room and a photographer

  • Wait for retouched files
  • Start again for every new hire

With Starkie Teams

  • Invite by email, CSV or one link
  • Everyone uploads selfies from a phone
  • Remote colleagues take part on the same terms
  • 40 headshots each in about an hour
  • New hires get the same style, whenever they join

Reading the result honestly

Two details are worth noticing before comparing the total with a quotation from anywhere else. The figures are in US dollars, and no tax is added at checkout for now.

And a credit is spent when a person actually uploads, not when they are invited, so an organisation that invites forty colleagues and gets thirty-four uploads has spent thirty-four. That is deliberate: nobody should be paying for a colleague who decided not to take part, and consent is meaningless if refusing it still costs the buyer money.

What a retake costs

A set that comes back badly does not mean buying that person again. Where the organisation reviews photographs before delivery, rejecting a set carries a note about what to change and comes with a free retake: the person walks back through the upload step and the retry is spent instead of a second credit from the balance.

Where review is switched off, an admin can grant that same retry from the people page or through the API. It is worth factoring in when comparing with an arrangement where a reshoot means booking a photographer twice.

Frequently asked questions

Is the price per person or per photograph?

Per person. One credit produces the forty images that colleague receives, and there is no per-image charge on top, no charge for downloading them and no charge for the branded profile picture versions.

Do credits expire?

No. They are a balance held by the organisation, not a session or a dated entitlement, so an account can buy in one quarter and invite people in the next. That is also what lets a company reach a better band by buying ahead of a hiring wave rather than one arrival at a time.

What currency are the prices in, and is tax added?

Every figure on this page and in the calculator is in US dollars, and it is the amount charged: no tax is added at checkout for now. If that changes, the prices here will say so.

What happens if we add people later?

They are invited on arrival and generated from the style the organisation already holds, so a colleague joining in autumn matches one photographed in spring. The credits for them are bought the same way, and they count towards the account total that decides the band.

Is there a minimum purchase?

No. A single credit is a valid purchase, and the first discount simply starts at five. Small organisations are not asked to buy a package sized for somebody else.
