Plenty of companies registered in Amsterdam have a modest office there and most of their people elsewhere: a commercial group in the south, engineers in two other countries, and a rhythm of quarterly gatherings rather than daily attendance. Photography arranged around those gatherings is expensive in the only currency that matters, which is the time of people who flew in for two days of meetings. Portraits that arrive in the tools people use
A portrait only becomes useful once it is inside the HR platform, the directory, the chat tool and the slide template. An organisation can register webhook endpoints and be told, with a signed request, when a person has been invited, has uploaded, has photographs ready, has been approved, has been deleted, or when branded pictures have been re-rendered after a template change.
The API then serves the images themselves. Deliveries retry with backoff, and any delivery can be replayed from the settings screen if a receiving system was down.

One archive when a designer needs everything

Frequently asked questions
Half the team is not in the Netherlands. Does that complicate anything?
Not operationally. Invitations are links, uploads happen on personal phones, and delivery is by email and a private gallery page, so the physical location of a colleague makes no difference to the process or to the finished portraits.
Can we test the integration before rolling out?
A common approach is to invite two or three willing colleagues first, wire the webhook and the image endpoints against those members, and only then invite everybody. Nothing about the style or the balance has to change between the trial and the rollout.
What happens if our webhook endpoint is unreachable?
The delivery is retried on a widening schedule for several attempts before it is marked as failed, and every delivery, whether delivered, pending or failed, can be sent again by hand from the API settings tab. Each attempt carries a timestamped signature to verify.
Is there a way to avoid managing invitations one by one?
Two. An open link limited to the company domain can be shared in a single announcement, and the API creates and invites up to fifty members in one call. Both end in the same place: a private link per person and automatic reminders for whoever does not act.
